Signal strength, not investment quality. TIP measures the strength of the specific signals defined in its published methodology. It is based on measurable token fundamentals and available on-chain data and is not an investment rating.

Required scopes: tip:tokens:read, tip:analysis:read
Use the canonical identity returned by token search. For an FA, id is the metadata address. For a Coin, id is the complete Coin type. A request using any verified family member also resolves to the same canonical profile.

Stale and optional data
If stored market data exists but refresh fails, the last known good data is returned with market.stale: true and its source timestamps.
Token Analysis is created and refreshed asynchronously. A profile request never performs a full historical scan. The analysis.status field explicitly reports ready, pending, not_applicable, or unavailable. Native and system assets that do not have meaningful token analysis return not_applicable. Creator resolution and transient chain failures remain pending and are retried with bounded backoff; nextRetryAt reports the scheduled retry when available.
Authority verification, metadata verification, TIP eligibility, and listing verification are separate states. authority.verified and verification.authorityVerified report the same active verification state; authority.claimedAt is the ISO 8601 verification date shown in the badge tooltip. Verification normally comes from the current canonical Authority wallet's signed challenge. An active Steward can also verify the token family they steward. A Synthwav registry administrator can also verify a family manually, reported as authority.method: "admin-manual". It is not a Synthwav endorsement, identity check, or security audit.
Token Score methodology version 4
market.liquidityUsd is the canonical supported TVL: indexed DEX liquidity plus supported DeFi protocol deposits, including Solido Flow and Cash. market.liquidityDepthPercent is calculated as liquidityUsd / marketCapUsd * 100. The same values feed the Token Score, Synthwav interface, and Token Analysis. Integrations should consume them instead of independently calculating another copy.
Depth awards 0 points below 2%, 2 points from 2% to 4.99%, 4 points from 5% to 9.99%, 6 points from 10% to 19.99%, 8 points from 20% to 39.99%, and 10 points at 40% or higher.
The score breakdown adds liquidityDepth. For compatibility, the existing score.breakdown.social key remains in place, but its label is now Profile, its maximum is 15, and its value includes description. Partners using only score.value and score.grade do not need to change their response handling. Partners that render individual factors should support the new factor and updated maximums.
Metadata maintained by an active Steward uses verification: "steward" in field provenance. Included history entries expose actorRole; direct Steward edits use actorRole: "steward", while an administrator applying an edit on a Steward's behalf records both roles and wallets. These fields are additive, so existing integrations can ignore them.
An active Steward grant requires at least three recorded community references. The API exposes their count as steward.voucherCount but never exposes their X handles. See Token Stewards for the complete trust and permission model.
